FAQ
ParticipantFor input problems like this, which produce a question mark next to the feature, the “Show Errors” button will tell you a little more information on what is missing. Following precautions should be taken for applying a moment in a cyclic symmetry model: 1. Z-axis of cylindrical coordinate system used for symmetry must be aligned with global Cartesian z-axis so model must revolve around global z-axis. This is only necessary for cyclic symmetry when applying a moment. So you must rotate your model. 2. Moment can only be scoped to a remote point. 3. The remote point must lie on the axis of symmetry, and can be scoped to anything but a vertex. 4. You should also add a remote displacement to fix the remote point in the other translational directions (not along symmetry axis), so it stays on the symmetry axis during deformation of the model. This is not a requirement, though.
