FAQ
ParticipantWhy does ANSYS 20202R1 licensing software on a Windows Operating System show high memory usage In 2020R1 we switched to using openjdk as Oracle changed thier licensing terms and conditions. As part of this migration some customers have reported high memory usage issue whilst using the License Management Center (LMC). We have found that this is linked to security software preventing the ANSYS License Management Center from completing a regular command it executes. This command is checking that the licensing processes are alive. The way around this issue is to make an exception in the security software for the
Ansys Inc/Shared Files folder thereby preventing the security software from interfering with the normal operation of the License Management Center.
