When performing analysis -one in time domain transient and the other one harmonics response – the results are quite different, what is the reason for same?

Harmonic analysis is a ‘steady-state dynamic’ analysis, so only one excitation (and response) frequency is present for any single solution. In transient analyses, we cannot control the frequency excitation, so one can have lots of frequency content in their system because even if say excitation is a half-sine pulse, then one may be exciting multiple frequencies in their system.
