FAQ
ParticipantThey are essentially the same thing, as the porous jump is a 1D simplification of the porous media model. For the porous zone, you can specify the viscous and inertial resistances as direction vectors. For the porous jump, the direction is taken as normal to the surface, so there’s just a single entry. The ‘viscous resistance’ in the cell zone, which has units of 1/m2, is the inverse of the ‘face permeability’ input for the porous jump, which has units of m2. The ‘inertial resistance’ in the cell zone is equivalent to the ‘pressure-jump coefficient (C2)’ in the porous jump (both have units of 1/m).
