FAQ
ParticipantDistributed mass creates surface effect elements SURF154 on the chosen faces and defines real constant ADMSUA (added mass/ unit area) based on the mass that you input. You can use distributed mass as an alternative to point mass if you require uniform distribution of mass. Using this feature, you can idealize the inertial effects from the bodies/entities that are evenly spread across the surfaces of your model, for example, mass contribution from paint, external equipment, a large number of small objects spaced evenly across the surfaces, etc. This approach of adding mass needs much less memory than point mass (Reference solution: 846481 ) .
