Question: What should I do if I working from home using VPN and I am unable to run Mechanical solves? My Solves are stuck at Building Mathematical Model. Or I am unable to launch Mechanical APDL

      Answer: It is possible your VPN connection is interfering with the ability for Mechanical to run in the default distributed parallel mode. Uncheck the “Distributed” box in the “Solve Process Settings” for the solve process in use and try solving again. It should work. For ANSYS Mechanical solves “stuck” check task manager for ANSYS###.exe process, end that process. Check your Mechanical APDL Product Launcher >> High Performance Computing Setup tab>> if you have Use Distributed Computing (DMP) selected. Try selecting “Use Shared-Memory Parallel (SMP)” and see if MAPDL launches
