In Mechanical/APDL what are the meanings of the terms “gluing” and “bonding”

In Mechanical/APDL terminology, gluing (AGLUE and VGLUE commands) means joining together adjacent solid model entities to ensure that they share common sub-entities at their interfaces (lines share keypoints, areas share lines, and volumes share areas). If adjacent solid model entities share sub-entities at their interfaces, the mesher will create contiguous meshes at those interfaces. In Mechanical/APDL terminology, bonding typically means joining together discontinuous meshes using contact elements or constraint equations.
