FAQ
ParticipantPressure is evaluated based on the material EOS. The initial pressure is calculated by the material EOS from material initial conditions. The initial conditions include initial material density and initial specific internal energy of the material. To do this, first set up the model as normal. Then, select “Output > Interrupt” and specify “Start Cycle: 0”. Then click on “Run”. AUTODYN will initiate a solution but stop at cycle 0. The model will then reflect results at cycle 0, so the user can plot a contour plot of pressure. The solution at cycle 0 can also be saved in the ident_0.ad file. Note that the user should specify appropriate initial and boundary conditions as well as a non-zero cycle or time limit prior to evaluating the pressure field.
