I am using the Fluent fan model and I see no way to enter my fan curve except for point-by-point, and there is no way to verify or plot the points I have entered. Also, the units are not typical to a fan curve – they are in m/s rather than CFM Is there a way in Fluent to simulate a fan and just read in the fan curve as CFM/Pressure?

FAQ
ParticipantThe 2D fan model is limited to Pressure/velocity inputs and is generally intended for more simplified representations of fans. You can check the inputs to the fan curve using the procedure outlined in Solution 2039208. To supply a CFM/Pressure fan curve as input, use the more sophisticated 3D fan model, described in the link below https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v191/flu_ug/flu_ug_sec_bc_3d_fan.html?q=fan model The inputs to the 3D fan model allow the reading of a fan curve with pressure as a function of volumetric flowrate. The format is: cell zone id 17!CELL_ID Pressure(Pa)Flowrate(m3/s) -324.01.255 -215.01.162 -109.01.032 0.0 0.997 63.00.913 105.00.862 302.00.584 394.00.492 406.00.432 443.00.365
