FAQ
ParticipantThere are two ways to apply a force that is not acting at the end of a beam. One method is to apply force on a node or a vertex at that location. If there is no vertex at that location then mesh sizing should be adjusted such that it creates a mesh node at that location. Then this node can be used to apply the force. If there is no vertex, then beam body can be split at the specific distance from the end in SpaceClaim using “Design Tab > Split tool > split edge” option. Once the edge is split, create a component of the edges and define Share Topology option to create a vertex. The force can be applied to the newly-created vertex.
