FAQ
ParticipantWhen importing a Mesh from an ANSYS Meshing msh-file, then interior zones are only imported if
a) the interior zone is on the boundary of a 3D cell zone, i.e. an interface between 2 different cell zones, or
b) the name of the Named Selection in ANSYS Meshing includes the keyword “wall”.
So in case an arbitrary name is used like “plate”, then the interior zone will not be visible in Fluent Meshing. Note that this is only true for interior zones which are inside a single 3D zone. Workaround is to rename the Named Selection to i.e. wall_plate
