FAQ
ParticipantWhen a mesh with contacts is created in ANSYS Meshing and then loaded to CFX-Pre, the opening of CFX-Pre might be slow for a large number of contacts. Follow these steps to improve the behavior: 1) open the Workbench project 2) create a new separate CFX component system 3) open the newly created CFX-Pre (this is empty) 4) in CFX-Pre select Edit > Options and expand the tree structure on the left to Mesh > Mesh Import Options and select ANSYS Meshing. On the right change the Contact Detection option to “Read as Regions” 5) exit CFX-Pre 6) create the connection of ANSYS Meshing to CFX-Pre (drag the line from meshing to CFX-Pre). Update the Mesh cell, if necessary 7) open CFX-Pre CFX-Pre will now remake the connection information when it imports the mesh.
