FAQ
ParticipantIn the Design Tool the region for the Design Change is defined by a Bounding Box. Only nodes within the bounding box are moved based on the Adjoint Solver results. So in case a symmetric case is optimized with a symmetry boundary condition, it should be ensured that the bounding box is extending (at leat slightly) outside the symmetry boundary condition. If the bounding box extends exactly to the symmetry plane, it might happen that the nodes are calculated as being outside the bounding box and hence will not be moved.
