How to deal with the following error: “System.InvalidOperationException: UserProxy process running for but couldn’t get port number.”?

      This error occurs when either some other software is accessing the same port number or it is a firewall issue. Please request your IT to add Firewall exceptions to the following executables on machine(s) that you are going to solve to Ans.Rsm.UPHost.exe Ans.Rsm.Launcher.exe under C:Program FilesANSYS Incv***RSMbin or opening ports set in C:Program FilesANSYS Incv***RSMConfigAns.Rsm.AppSettings.config For file transfer using internal transfer mechanism For Ans.Rsm.UPHost.exe (User Proxy) For RSM launcher service Please change the version accordingly by changing *** to the version being used. For example when using v2020R2, the value will be 202.
