FAQ
ParticipantHow many cores are supported with a single or multiple ANSYS HPC pack? ANSYS HPC are physic-neutral licenses which can be used to run a single analysis across multiple processors and work with most ANSYS, Inc. products. Contact your ANSYS sales representative for a complete list of applications that can be used with ANSYS HPC Pack Licenses. ANSYS HPC Pack Licenses enable parallel for single simulations according to the formula: 8*4^(Number of HPC Packs-1). That means a single pack would allow for single run on maximum 8 CPU’s. Two packs would allow for 32 and so on to the maximum of 14 HPC Pack Licenses on a single analysis. Within the release 19.0 the first pack would allow for 8 CPU’s. For release 18.2 the first pack allowed for 10 CPU’s.
