ParticipantCurrently in Mechanical, command objects are required to overlay shell elements on solids that are used for stress evaluation purposes. The ESURF command is used to place shell elements and KEYOPT(1) has to be set to 2 so the shell elements are only used to read results. The attached Mechanical example demonstrates how to use the command object to read membrane stress on solid elements’ faces. Static png images are also generated using a command object under “solution”.
