ParticipantTo find the maxima of a variable in CFX-Post: 1. From the top menu Insert, select Location and then Point. This will create a locator eg Point 1 2. In the lower left hand corner – in the window ‘Details of Point 1’. Choose, Method – Variable Maximum. Choose Variable – to be the variable you want the Maximum of. Hit Apply. This will show a ‘cross-hair’ in the View area showing where the Maximum value of the variable is located. 3. To find the X,Y,Z locations of Point1. Go to the top menu Tools>Function Calculator. Select: a. Function – probe b. Location – Point 1 c. Variable – X d. Hit Calculate 4. Repeat for Y and Z
