Does AutoCAD – WB Interface require AutoCAD installed on my machine?

      In R15, you will need to have AutoCAD installed on the same computer as ANSYS DesignModeler. The AutoCAD interface in this version of ANSYS works in both Plug-in mode and Pseudo-Reader mode, both of which require installation of AutoCAD. Note that as of R17.0, the AutoCAD interface contains a stand-alone reader that does not require the installation of AutoCAD. So if you can upgrade to R17.0 or later version, then you will not need to install AutoCAD on your machine. Note however that while the standalone reader does require AutoCAD installation, it does not support import of CAD parameters. Keywords: AutoCAD
