FAQ
ParticipantThere isn’t a direct way to modify eye diameter in Vista CPD. The eye diameter is determined in Vista CPD by calculating an optimum inlet design condition assuming a nominal suction specific speed. The nominal suction specific speed used is representative of pump impellers with average cavitation characteristics. The user can refer to “Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamic of Turbomachinery” by S. L. Dixon for details on optimum design of a pump inlet given suction specific speed.
